Knobby Rounder

The Knobby Rounder is designed to be used WITH with the Knobby Nail File. 
 
The concave filing surface of the Rounder is great for rounding, smoothing and finishing your dog's nails. You should be doing most of the filing however, with either the MINI Knobby Nail File if you have a small dog (less than 20lbs) or cat, or the standard size Knobby Nail File for medium/large dogs.   
 
The Rounder is also useful for dew claws or little feet!  Used in a circular filing motion, it rounds the nail and eliminates rough edges. A handy, versatile little file!  This is a great "finishing" product!

TIPS FOR USE:
Some dogs require conditioning to get used to a new product on their nails - this is especially true for dogs that have experience negative nail trims. Take the time to get your dog used to the product and encourage their cooperation.
Tip 1: Get your dog used to having his paws/nails touched. Touch paw, reward. Hold paw, reward. 
Tip 2: Do nail sessions whenever and wherever your dog is most comfortable/relaxed (bed, couch, floor, grooming table, wherever they are happiest).
Tip 3: Go slow if your dog is nervous or has had previous bad experiences with nail trims. Don't expect to trim all of their nails during the first session! File one nail, reward. The next day, file two nails, reward. Make this a positive experience for your dog!
Tip 4: Always remember the Big 3: Praise, patience, treats! Use LOTS of each!
Tip 5: A lick mat may prove a useful distraction while you file your dog's nails.
Your dog's nails will be slightly softer and easier to file after they have been out in the damp grass, snow, rain, or after a bath. 
If you want to protect your own manicure, you can slip on a pair of thin gloves.
 
CARE:
You can use a soft toothbrush to remove nail dust from the filing surface. If needed, use a slightly damp cloth to wipe the handle clean. Do NOT soak, submerge or wash in water. For long life, keep your file dry! Store your files out of your pup's reach so it isn't used as a toy.
